With all of the hidden ingredients in food today, it’s important to slow down and read what is in the food you are consuming.
I use to speed through the grocery store as though I was in a marathon, selecting food items from the shelves, not reading anything. It looked good, or it was an item I always cooked with, so I bought it.
Today, I shop with caution, I am reading labels and checking ingredients. If I am not sure, I will google it. This takes time, but the process is worth it. Often my eyes have captured labels indicating NON GMO, or organic; however, reading the Nutrition labels and ingredients were alarming. Everything is not completely NON GMO or authenticity organic.
My selection is for clean eating, so I’ll shop when I have the time and not tired. This allows me to get the best food for my money.
Ingredients:
- 1 banana
- 2 cups spinach
- 1 apple pealed and sliced
- 1 cup mango pealed and sliced
- 1 cup almond milk (unsweetened)
- 8 ice cubes
Use blender to blend ingredients and serve immediately
